The latest survey from CoinGecko on the price expectations for the three largest coins in the market – Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL) – reveals a variety of opinions within the crypto community.
The study examined responses from 2,558 participants in the anonymous CoinGecko Post-Halving Sentiment Survey conducted from June 25 to July 8, 2024.
Let’s analyze the detailed price predictions for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana in the upcoming bull cycle.
How High Will Bitcoin Go?
Survey results show:
- 43.7% of participants expect Bitcoin to surpass $100,000.
- 17% predict a price range of $91,000 – $100,000.
- 15% have a bearish view, predicting Bitcoin will only reach up to $75,000.
- The remaining 24.3% forecast a price between $76,000 and $90,000.
Notably, experienced crypto participants are more optimistic:
- 50.5% of second-cycle participants and 51.8% of veterans predict Bitcoin will exceed $100,000.
- Only 35.2% of first-time participants share this optimism.
Investors are the most optimistic group, with nearly half (49.4%) believing Bitcoin will surpass $100,000. Conversely, spectators have the lowest expectations, with 31.5% predicting Bitcoin will only reach up to $75,000.

How High Will Ethereum Go?
Expectations for Ethereum are more varied:
- 20.6% expect Ethereum to exceed $10,000.
- 19.2% predict a maximum price of $5,000.
- Price ranges from $6,000 to $10,000 received 10-12% support.
This lack of consensus may stem from the expanding and complex Ethereum ecosystem.
How High Will Solana Go?
Participants have more cautious expectations for Solana:
- 24.9% predict Solana will only reach up to $300, not far above its previous all-time high.
- 14.7% expect a price range of $300 to $400.
- Other price ranges received 4.6% to 12.6% support.
Although 3/4 of participants have higher expectations for Solana, there is no clear consensus on a specific target price.
While Bitcoin enjoys more positive expectations, predictions for Ethereum and Solana are more dispersed. This reflects varying market sentiment and the different growth potentials of these leading blockchain projects.
