Dogecoin appears on CyberTruck payment page

Looking for signs that Elon Musk might integrate Dogecoin payments into Tesla vehicles, community members examined the source code of their website. The findings have shown that the electric vehicle manufacturer may in fact be moving towards accepting DOGE payments.

Source code shared on social media by account @TOPDOGE007 revealed multiple mentions of Dogecoin. All these mentions regarding DOGE payments appear alongside other payment methods such as bank transfers and SEPA.

A community member revealed on social media that Dogecoin actually appears more than 50 times in CyberTruck’s website source code. This has created speculation that while Tesla may not have officially accepted DOGE payments for the CyberTruck, they may be ready to do so.

It’s worth noting that Dogecoin is the only mention of any cryptocurrency on CyberTruck’s website. This rules out even Bitcoin, making accepting payments in DOGE seem like the only form of cryptocurrency payment the company is considering.

The DogeCoin community is waiting for Elon Musk

The Dogecoin community continues to wait for the next move of billionaire Elon Musk, who is known as ‘Dogecoin Dad’. Musk’s influence in the DOGE community has caused the price of Dogecoin to increase just from his simple tweets.

Now, all eyes are on Musk’s ability to integrate DOGE payments into several of his products, including the X platform and other Tesla vehicles. Mr. Musk has previously mentioned using DOGE in a social media platform as a form of rewarding creators.

Previously, Tesla integrated Bitcoin payments before suspending the service in 2021. However, the impact of this decision was simply a large price increase, which pushed up the 2020-2021 bull market higher level than expected.

Based on Bitcoin’s performance when Tesla announced payments in BTC, it is expected that DOGE’s price will react similarly if the automaker announces the acceptance of payments in Dogecoin. This could be the driving force that brings Dogecoin price above 1 USD.
