According to an announcement from Pavel Durov, founder of the Telegram application, it is expected that Telegram’s advertising network will open to advertisers in March. Previously, Telegram announced plans to share revenue with some channel owners, according to information on their website. Channels on Telegram serve as one-way feeds where channel creators can post content to an unlimited number of registered users.
On his channel, Mr. Durov shared that “Popular channels on Telegram reach a total of 1,000 billion views per month, but only 10% of them are currently using Telegram Ads to make money, an advertising tool. The report is designed with privacy in mind.”
Mr. Durov continued to announce, “In March, the Telegram Ad Platform will officially open to all advertisers in nearly a hundred new countries. Channel owners in these countries will start receive 50% of the revenue Telegram earns from ads appearing in their channels.”

With this new announcement, Telegram will join the list of platforms like YouTube and X (formerly Twitter), which share advertising revenue with users.
