PancakeSwap, the multi-chain decentralized exchange (DEX), has ventured into the realm of blockchain gaming with the launch of its PancakeSwap Gaming Marketplace. The platform, which debuted on Tuesday, introduces two games centered around the exchange and its whimsical branding, with plans to foster additional game development within the ecosystem.

The initial foray into GameFi began with Pancake Protectors, a tower defense game offering CAKE token rewards, developed in collaboration with partner Mobox and introduced in May. The game has achieved significant popularity, boasting over 25,000 daily players at its peak. Accompanying the launch of the gaming hub is another CAKE rewards game titled Pancake Mayor, published by BinaryX.

PancakeSwap envisions the marketplace as a space for gamers, developers, and the PancakeSwap community to “play, build, and connect.” Emphasizing the potential for game developers, the company notes its substantial user base, claiming “1.5 million potential monthly players ready to embrace your creations.” The platform is designed to facilitate seamless integration of CAKE and PancakeSwap’s NFTs for monetization and earnings options.

Originally established on BNB Chain (formerly Binance Smart Chain), PancakeSwap has expanded its reach to support various blockchain networks, including Ethereum and scaling networks like Polygon, Base, and Arbitrum One.

Additional volumes from the V2 protocol and the Ethereum V3 DEX contribute $57 million and $25 million, respectively, to PancakeSwap’s impressive trading figures.
