Chainlink Rides The Wave As Tokenized Rwa Onchain Value Nears $29b

The tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) on blockchain is entering a breakout phase, unlocking massive growth potential for infrastructure projects like Chainlink (LINK).

According to the latest data, the total onchain value of tokenized RWAs has doubled since the beginning of 2025, fueled by strong institutional inflows and the rapid expansion of private credit and U.S. Treasuries tokenization. This week alone, tokenized RWAs surpassed $29 billion in onchain value, while the figure jumps to $307 billion when including stablecoins — a historic all-time high.

Current snapshot of RWA onchain composition:

  • Over 50% comes from tokenized private credit.

  • 25% comes from tokenized U.S. Treasuries.

  • The rest is distributed across commodities, alternative funds, equities, and corporate bonds.

This rapid growth has triggered a significant boost for RWA-related tokens, with the entire sector climbing nearly 11% in just one week, pushing total market capitalization from $67 billion to almost $76 billion, according to CoinMarketCap.

What are RWAs and why are they attractive?

Tokenized real-world assets are legally recognized assets (such as credit, commodities, securities, and investment funds) that are digitized and represented as tokens on blockchain. This transformation provides multiple advantages:

  • 24/7 instant settlement across global markets.

  • Fractional ownership, making assets more accessible for retail investors.

  • Enhanced liquidity, benefiting both institutions and individuals.

  • Programmable features, enabling the creation of advanced financial products on blockchain.

How Chainlink, Avalanche, and Ondo Finance are benefiting

Infrastructure projects are becoming the backbone of the RWA revolution.

  • Chainlink: delivers reliable oracle data feeds for asset pricing and settlement.

  • Avalanche: a high-throughput blockchain enabling fast and low-cost transactions.

  • Ondo Finance: a platform bridging traditional finance with DeFi through institutional-grade RWA products.

The combination of institutional inflows, stablecoin liquidity, and growing demand for tokenization is turning RWAs into the new focal point of the global crypto market. With BlackRock — the world’s largest asset manager — now exploring tokenized ETFs, the sector may be on the brink of an explosive new growth era, with Chainlink (LINK) positioned as one of the biggest beneficiaries.
