At the Bitcoin MENA event in Abu Dhabi on December 10, Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization and son of President Donald Trump, delivered a compelling speech on Bitcoin’s potential. He described Bitcoin not merely as an investment tool but as a “new financial paradigm” with global implications.

With a strong belief in cryptocurrency, Eric Trump predicted that Bitcoin could reach a value of $1 million in the future. He emphasized the pivotal role Bitcoin will play in reshaping the global economy and suggested that more governments would embrace it, with early adopters reaping significant rewards from this trend.

In his address, Eric Trump underscored Bitcoin’s multifaceted nature:

It’s not just a regular asset or a simple investment—it’s a global asset. Bitcoin serves as a store of value, a hedge against inflation, political instability, and natural disasters. That’s what makes it powerful.

He also highlighted Bitcoin’s decentralized nature, operating without intermediaries, distinguishing it from traditional banking systems known for high costs and bureaucratic complexity. He cited Bitcoin’s capped supply of 21 million BTC as a critical factor securing its value over time.

Drawing a parallel to the development of email—a technology that took 25 years to gain widespread acceptance since its creation in 1970—Eric Trump noted that the slow adoption of Bitcoin is understandable.

He shared an anecdote about a friend working at a major bank who was skeptical of Bitcoin six months ago. Today, that same bank has invested hundreds of billions of dollars in cryptocurrencies and is developing crypto-based ETFs.

Closing his speech, Eric Trump expressed joy over Bitcoin surpassing the $100,000 mark for the first time on December 5. He extended heartfelt gratitude to the Bitcoin community:

To all Bitcoin supporters, my family and I deeply value you. It’s an honor to be here today.

Eric Trump is not alone in his optimism about Bitcoin’s future. Influential investors such as Michael Saylor of MicroStrategy and Cathie Wood of ARK Invest have also forecast that Bitcoin could achieve the $1 million milestone in the years ahead.
