Taiko, a Layer 2 rollup project on Ethereum, has announced an airdrop for its community members prior to the official mainnet launch. The project plans to distribute 5% of its total supply of 1 billion tokens through this airdrop.

Details of the Taiko Airdrop

The first phase of the airdrop program has arrived. Taiko will distribute 5% of the initial TKO token supply to contributing community members. You can check your eligibility for the airdrop today if you fall into one of the following categories:

  • Block Proposer for Taiko
  • Prover for Taiko
  • Relayer for Taiko
  • Active Taiko users (including Galxe point holders)
  • Developers who have contributed to Taiko
  • Eligible contributors on GitHub
  • Qualified Loopring community members

Taiko allocates its tokens as follows:

  • 48.5% to key stakeholders:
    • 20% for Taiko Labs and the core team
    • 16.88% as reserves for the Taiko Foundation
    • 11.62% for investors
  • Additionally, 20% is allocated to the DAO Fund

The team has also set aside 5% for Grants and RetroPGF, another 5% for liquidity and market creation, and 10% for the Trailblazer airdrop, separate from this airdrop.

User contributions are evaluated and ranked. If you meet a certain point threshold based on your level of participation and contribution, you will qualify for the airdrop.

Users have 7 days to verify their eligibility. Once the airdrop window opens, you will have 1 month to claim your TKO tokens. The official airdrop date has not been announced yet.
