Hamster Kombat Mania is driving the popularity of massage devices in Russia as the Telegram-based game’s craze spreads rapidly.
According to Vedomosti, a well-known Russian news outlet, there has been a rapid increase in sales of these devices.
Many retailers are advertising their products as “suitable for” Hamster Kombat players. In addition to their regular massage functions, these devices can also be used to enhance the “coin mining” feature in the Hamster Kombat game.
By setting the device to high speed and pressing it against their fingers, players can tap much faster than usual, helping them increase their Hamster Kombat coin count.
An advertisement for a massage device on the e-commerce site Wildberries claims that the device is “great for Hamster Kombat.”
Vedomosti reported that on the Wildberries e-commerce platform, device sales in June increased by 179% compared to the previous month.
Besides Wildberries, Ozon also saw a rise in demand. In the June-July period, Ozon experienced about a 33% increase in both sales volume and revenue compared to the same period in 2023 for these massage devices.
