Cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin made an important announcement today concerning users in Turkey. The announcement revealed that the exchange’s Turkey X account has been compromised.

“Please note that our Turkey account has been compromised. The announcement below is not from us and while we conduct a more detailed investigation, please be cautious of malicious links or posts on this account. User funds will not be affected.”

There are certain things that users need to pay attention to. It is especially important to heed these warnings and not click on any links. There is no need for concern regarding user funds as they are not affected.

It is certainly important for cryptocurrency exchanges to issue early warnings. This allows users to take precautions in a timely manner. On the other hand, the exchange had faced a confrontation with the SEC last month. The SEC had filed a lawsuit against KuCoin. In response to the lawsuit, the exchange’s CEO Johnny Lyu made a statement, countering the messages of fear, uncertainty, and doubt spreading within the crypto community, and emphasized that such regulatory actions were not unique to KuCoin but were common in the crypto scene.
