Justin Sun, the founder of the Tron blockchain network, safely completed a commercial spaceflight with Blue Origin last Saturday. This mission, NS-34, included six passengers and marks a significant milestone in the realm of commercial space tourism.

Justin Sun secured his spot on this flight through a 2021 auction, paying $28 million. The NS-34 flight, operated by Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin, is one of the earliest commercial space tourism services available to the public.
Joining Sun on this journey were five other passengers from various fields:
- J.D. Russell – Founder of Alpha Funds
- Gökhan Erdem – Entrepreneur
- Arvi Bahal – Real estate investor
- Deborah Martorell – Meteorologist
- Lionel Pitchford – Teacher and charity activist
After the spacecraft landed safely, Sun shared his profound feelings about witnessing Earth from space. “Earth is so small; it is our home. We must do everything we can to protect it,” he expressed.
Sun was also amazed by the spectacular view: “I was surprised to see almost the entire Earth from the window. That’s when I truly understood the significance of the flight’s name—it was very accurate.”

Sun’s reaction has been evaluated by experts as a typical manifestation of the Overview Effect, a psychological phenomenon experienced by many astronauts. This effect often leads individuals to gain a deeper understanding of the fragility and interconnectedness of our planet within the vast universe.
The success of the NS-34 flight further solidifies Blue Origin’s position in the commercial space tourism industry, opening new opportunities for ordinary people to explore space.
