A three- judge panel from the United States Court of prayers for the Second Circuit has denied a stir for early release for former FTX CEO Sam Bankman- Fried, or SBF.
In aSept. 21 order, Circuit Judges John WalkerJr., Denny Chin, and William Nardini denied SBF’s stir for early release, which his platoon argued largely on First Amendment grounds. The ruling said Judge Lewis Kaplan — the judge overseeing SBF’s felonious case — had “ rightly determined ” that Bankman- Fried’s speech amounted to substantiation tampering.
“ The record shows that the quarter court completely considered all of the applicable factors, including( Bankman- Fried’s) course of conduct over time that had needed the quarter court to constantly strain the conditions of release, ” said theSept. 21 order. “ It also shows that the quarter court contemplated a lower restrictive volition offered by( SBF) — an order limiting his dispatches with the press but nicely concluded this wasn’t ‘ a workable result longer term. ’”
This is a developing story, and farther information will be added as it becomes available.
