What is a Tag/Memo and Why is it Important?

When sending certain cryptocurrencies, like Toncoin (TON), entering the tag/memo is mandatory for the transaction to be processed successfully.
Failing to include the Tag/Memo may allow the transaction to complete, but the funds will not be credited to your account, resulting in potential financial loss.
If you forget or omit the Tag/Memo, you should contact the customer support team of the respective exchange directly to recover the lost funds.

Which Transactions are Eligible for Tag/Memo Recovery?
- Sending Ton to exchange accounts like Binance or OKX with a wrong or missing tag/memo.
- Sending cryptocurrencies requiring a Tag/Memo, like Ton, that are listed on those exchanges.

- To ensure safety, the funds will be returned to the original address after your request is confirmed.
- If the tag/memo you entered matches that of another user, the Ton may be credited to their account.
- A recovery service fee will be charged, based on the transaction fee of the cryptocurrency you are trying to recover.
- If the remaining amount after deducting the fee is smaller than the minimum withdrawal amount, we will be unable to assist with the recovery.
Please I need help concerning this tag or memo. I sent Ton from Tonkeeper to my Roqque wallet without the memo and it was successful and I didn’t receive it in my wallet. But when I contacted the customer service of Roqque, they said they will not help me recover my Fund because I didn’t include the memo.

Well mine is I transferred Notcoin from my telegram wallet to a friend’s telegram wallet and I was asked to insert a memo which I carelessly didn’t do that and the transfer showd me successful but failed to drop in the receiving wallet.
