Binance Labs Announces Investment In Apriori On Monad

On July 30, 2024, Binance Labs announced an undisclosed investment in aPriori, a Liquid Staking solution combined with the Miner Extractable Value (MEV) model built on the Monad layer-1 blockchain.

The new capital from Binance Labs through the Incubation Season 6 program will enable aPriori to expand its team, accelerate research and development efforts, strengthen security protocols, and optimize blockchain performance for broader scalability.

About aPriori

Apriori

aPriori successfully raised a total of $10 million through two funding rounds: Pre-seed ($2 million) and Seed ($8 million), with participation from notable investment firms such as Pantera Capital, Consensys, OKX Ventures, CMS Holdings, ABCDE, Flow Traders, Hashed, and Arrington Capital.

In their announcement, Binance Labs mentioned that aPriori is building MEV infrastructure and Liquid Staking services on Monad. This allows users to both stake for rewards and profit from MEV by optimizing transaction order.

aPriori’s mission is to decentralize the Monad network while enhancing user experience by reducing gas fees, optimizing network traffic, and creating sustainable incentives for validators. The aPriori development team boasts experience from platforms such as Jump Crypto, Coinbase, Bridgewater, Protocol Labs, D.E. Shaw, Pyth Network, and Flow Traders.

The support from Binance Labs underscores the expansion potential of the Monad layer-1 blockchain, which was valued at $3 billion following a $225 million funding round led by Paradigm. This makes it the highest-funded blockchain project of 2024, a title previously held by Wormhole with the same amount in 2023.
